include program and area information as well as maps, airline information, driving directions, proposed program schedule,
health form, travel form, waiver (if program requirement) reading list, accommodation information and area activities not
included in the program for those coming a few days early or staying late.
Opening Night Orientation: The first night of the program (arrival night) you will be greeted with an
orientation, complete with a meet and greet for the group, and an overview of the programs. Dinner to follow.
Weather & Dress: Weather in the Black Hills can be unpredictable. Please check the local forecast at
www.kotatv.com or on our BHEI area information page before you arrive. We
recommend dressing casual, comfortable and in layers. Weather can range from hot days to chilly nights throughout the season.
Handicap Accessibility: The lodging facilities are handicapped accessible as well as many of the places
we will be visiting during each program. Please locate the activity level for each program.
Health Form: You will receive a mailing that includes a Health and Travel Form. Please return this as soon
as possible to the address on the top of the form, so that we can better assist you with health concerns or dietary
restraints (i.e. food allergies, diabetic or vegetarian restrictions). If you cannot find your health form, please call our
office at (605) 721-4007. If you have not mailed in the form prior to two weeks before the program begins, you may fax it
to (605) 343-8653. This information is essential for you to participate in the program. Call us if you have any pressing
health concerns or questions.
Health Care: The town of Keystone provides local ambulance service. Emergency health care is provided by
nearby Rapid City Regional Hospital, as well as emergency Life Flight. Rapid City also hosts a walk-in Rapid Care clinic and
Urgent Care clinic. Closest pharmacy is in Rapid City.
